Pattern: floral ornament with scarlet and yellow flowers, intertwined emerald green foliage, on a dusky grey background.

Lining: white matte heat-resistant card.

Trim: linen and cotton in forest green.

The Floral Arabesque in Dusk lampshades are crafted from unique Katazome Washi paper, stencil-dyed by artisans in Japan. This centuries-old Japanese technique involves applying a resist rice paste through stencils to each sheet, selectively preserving areas of the paper from the dye. After dyeing with soy-based inks, the paste is gently washed away, revealing elegant, distinct patterns. The resulting Katazome paper is both durable and vibrant. 

As with all hand-produced items, slight variations may occur when ordering multiple shades in the same pattern. Artisans blend pigments by hand and apply each colour individually through hand-printing screens onto each sheet of paper. This makes each of our lampshades unique as well.

Shipping: the paper is in stock, and the lampshade will be shipped within the next 5 business days. If your desired item is out of stock, please note that the current lead time for lampshades is up to 3 weeks.

Each lampshade is made to order in our Toronto atelier.

Due to the bespoke nature of the product, returns and refunds are not available once the lampshade has been produced and shipped.
